In short
Who Played Both ("the site", "the game") uses the minimum data needed to play. If you play as a guest, none of your information is sent to our servers; your progress is kept only on your own device. The site stays free thanks to ads, and the ads are shown by Google. Google's cookies are explained separately in this policy.
Information stored on your device
The game writes the following information to your browser's local storage (localStorage):
- Your bot rating and your number of wins and losses,
- The language you chose (Turkish or English),
- The fact that you chose to play as a guest,
- If you signed in with an account, your session key and your username.
This information is not sent out from your device and is deleted when you clear your browser data. In addition, so that the game can also open without an internet connection, the game files are saved in the browser cache.
If you create an account
An account is required for ranked matches, the friends list and the leaderboard. When you create an account, we store the following:
- Your email address and password (the password is stored as an irreversible hash), or, if you signed in with Google or Apple, that account's ID number and email address,
- The username you choose (visible on the leaderboard and to your friends),
- Your match results, your rating, your weekly score and your friends list.
We use this information only to run the game; we do not sell it and we do not share it with others for advertising purposes. You can permanently delete your account at any time from the My account page in the game.
Server logs and service providers
The site and the game server run on Cloudflare. When delivering pages to you, the hosting service may briefly record technical information such as your IP address and browser details for security and operational purposes. Cloudflare Web Analytics is used to see in aggregate how many people visit which pages; this tool does not use cookies and does not track visitors individually. Fonts are loaded through Google Fonts. These services have their own privacy terms: Cloudflare Privacy Policy, Google Privacy Policy.
Ads and cookies
Google AdSense ads are shown on the site. Here is what you need to know:
- Third-party ad providers, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this site and other sites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can turn off personalized ads in Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of other third-party providers that use cookies for personalized ads at www.aboutads.info.
- You can read how Google's partners use data on their sites on this page.
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you are asked for permission for advertising cookies through Google's consent dialog; you can change your decision later from the same dialog.
No ads are shown while a round is being played. Ads appear on the home page, on the results screen shown when a match ends, on the leaderboard, on the friends page and on the info pages. There are no ads on the sign-in and account pages.
In the mobile app, ads are shown with Google AdMob: an ad banner at the bottom of menu pages and, once every few matches, a full-screen ad after a match ends. AdMob may use your device's advertising ID to show and measure ads; you can reset it in your device settings or turn off personalized ads.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children of that age. If we become aware of such an account, we will delete it.
Your rights
Under Turkey's Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK) and any other data protection rules that apply where you live, you can ask to access, correct or delete the data held about you. For your requests you can write to iletisim@ortakoyuncu.com.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page, and the date at the top shows the last change.
